A Community Tax Certificate a.k.a as cedula or residence certificate is a legal identity document prepared, issued, and paid in barangay, city, or municipal office. It is issued to all persons that have reached the age of majority and upon the payment of community tax. It is a documentary requirements when filing an income tax return, registering a new business. In some cases, this also serve as an identification document if no available ID at the time like caught in traffic violation.

A Community Tax Certificate may also be issued to any person or corporation not subject to the Community Tax upon payment of One Peso (P1.00).
